Batman Forever is an Academy Award-nominated 1995 superhero film based on the fictional DC Comics character Batman. It is the third film in the Batman film franchise and the first one directed by Joel Schumacher, who replaced Tim Burton, the director of the first two films in the franchise, Batman and Batman Returns. It is also the first and only film in the franchise to star Val Kilmer as Batman, who replaced Michael Keaton from the first two films. The film also marked the series debut of Robin. The film's cast included Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Chris O'Donnell, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore and Debi Mazar. However, Michael Gough and Pat Hingle, who featured in the first two films, returned to reprise the respective characters Alfred and Commissioner James Gordon in this film.

"I'm tommy lee jones, and I'm gay" may be my favorite quote, not necessarily of this movie, but of all time.

Despite the problems I had with the first two Batman movies they seem like they're transcribed directly from the pages of the comics when compared to this piece of shit. Amateur gay erotic filmmaker Joel Schumacher takes over the series and the only thing missing is the Batussi. I should really save all my venom for the abomination that is Batman&Robin. However, if memory serves correct this movie is plagued with the same preposterous bad guy hideouts (I know it's Batman but where does the Riddler get the manpower to build a hideout like that?) and hideous dialogue. Jim Carrey isn't the Riddler...so much as Jim Carrey in a Riddler Halloween costume. Chris O'Donnell is a lousy Robin because Robin is supposed to be about 12 years old (then again with our luck they might've cast Jonathan Taylor Thomas). Even Tommy Lee Jones, who really is a good actor, was pretty terrible in this movie. Ah!!..Joel Schumacher you really know how to bring out the worst in everybody!! Well...except for the two Coreys in The Lost Boys.
