Batman & Robin is a 1997 film starring George Clooney as Batman, Chris O'Donnell returning as Robin and introducing Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone), a niece of Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred (Michael Gough). Michael Gough and Pat Hingle (Commissioner Gordon) are the only two people to feature in all four of the original Batman films. The villains in this movie are Poison Ivy, played by Uma Thurman; Mr. Freeze, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger (who received top billing for this film); and Bane, played by Jeep Swenson. This is the final film continuity-wise in the original Batman movie franchise (1989-1997), as the franchise's story was re-imagined with 2005's Batman Begins directed by Christopher Nolan.

I heard that they tried to make this in the old camp style of the '60s. You can't make something camp on purpose.

I give it an extra point because I've heard Clooney bringing up that he was Batman in an acceptance speech. Deliciously pretentious.

This is the Godfather of all terrible movies. An epic atrocity that probably should have been put on trial for crimes against humanity. George Clooney, who I think is a pretty good actor, has the worst performance of his career. Ah-nuld Schwarzenegger is...I just can't do it. I can't even go through a point by point explanation of why this movie is bad. You don't have to explain why salmonella poisoning is bad. Therefore, I shouldn't have to explain why Batman & Robin is bad. Joel Schumacher should feel like more of an asshole than Pol Pot for this one.
