OnetoTen.org was set up by a group of lonely, pathetic, habitual imdb movie raters, who wanted to move on to rate actors, and music, food.. and even animals. This site was set up with one simple premise: You play god. We believe that anything can and should be rated on a scale of one to ten. How does it work?Pick anything out there, and give it a rating from one to ten. Then vote on other user ratings, for ultimate democracy. Let the people decide if Thomas Jefferson has the same worth as a puma, Hugh Jackman, or a Snickers bar. What are the rules?Nothing is set in stone, but just keep it civil. Don't rate civilians, like some guy at work who only you know. And maybe rating a race of people, while fun, might bring the wrong element. Our Rating System:
Simply put, things are rated from a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being the lowest, and 10 the highest. - "Doo-doo" - The worst of the worst. Think about your rating, and use "1" as sparingly as possible. Take a look at our "Bottom 10" list. You wouldn't want to rate a movie that mildly annoyed you as bad as Hitler.. would you?
- Almost worthless - Pretty much garbage, but something is keeping it from the bottom of the barrel. Usually just because there are worse things out there.
- Trash - Bad, annoying, not worth anyone's time, unless they're a jackass.
- Subpar - perhaps forgettable, without positives, maybe a little harmless.
- The Big "Ocre" - Completely Mediocre. You would almost not even think it's worth rating something a 5, you care about it that neutrally. But you are rating things on this website, so you must not value your time that much.
- Redeeming qualities - Think a pile of poo, with a $10 bill sticking out of it. Yeah, it sucks. But there's SOMETHING worth the trouble.
- Good, not great - This would be an absolute favorite.. if not for a couple of flaws. Still worth the time and effort.
- Solid - real good,on the verge of "hall of fame" quality.
- Great - Very few things bad can be said about a 9. While it's a Steve Young to a 10's Joe Montana.. there's nothing THAT wrong with Steve Young.
- "The Tops" - A-Number-one, top of the list, the ultimate in its class, a "sweet ride". Like the 1 rating, please use sparingly. If everything is a 10, it loses all meaning.
