Maurits Cornelis Escher (June 17, 1898 – March 27, 1972), usually referred to as M. C. Escher, was a Dutch graphic artist. M.C. Escher is an amazing artist. I first became familiar with him after he was referenced in "Time Travel in Einstein's Universe" by J. Richard Gott. He used the mirrorball picture to describe alternate dimensions. Escher's work is trippy and having dabbled in illicit "remedies" in my past...I can appreciate that aspect. The haunting, dreamlike quality of his work is always captivating. He also used intricate geometrical/mathematical structures in his drawings despite having no formal education in that area.
